What is SRE?
SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) focuses on designing and operating enterprise system maintenance to achieve operational automation.
This concept was introduced by Google about 20 years ago. In recent years, as enterprise systems and equipment have increased, automated operations have become a goal pursued by many companies, leading to the emergence of specialized SRE engineers.
This trend led to the first SRE Conference hosted by iThome, aimed at accelerating enterprise digital transformation.
Designated Network Provider for the First SRE Conference
The SRE Conference hosted by iThome concluded successfully at the end of April 2022, with KlickKlack serving as the designated network provider, handling the temporary network setup for the event.
The event was held at Hall A, B2 of Fubon International Conference Center. The rectangular layout was relatively straightforward for KlickKlack with years of event network experience. However, the most important goal was to ensure participating engineers had an excellent network experience.
Hundreds of Engineers, Booths, and Speakers Together with Seamless Connectivity
The event ran from 9 AM to 5 PM, featuring 11 speakers and corporate booths, attracting hundreds of engineers. KlickKlack was responsible for the overall venue network connectivity quality.
Some speakers presented remotely from overseas via real-time connection. The network quality remained stable throughout, enabling real-time interaction and Q&A between on-site SRE engineers and speakers. Online surveys at surrounding booths also worked smoothly.
iThome also leveraged the smooth network for innovative event experiences. SRE Conference introduced collaborative note-sharing, allowing attendees to co-write notes with speakers and complete online surveys at booths, enhancing event effectiveness and enriching the attendee experience.

KlickKlack has handled event networks of all sizes. Generally, conference centers and event spaces now provide Wi-Fi, but to run a successful event (especially digitally intensive ones), the existing network equipment is never enough.
